Zero Dark Thirty
Last night a couple of friends and myself decided to go see the 10:45 p.m. showing of 'Zero Dark Thirty'. It was a very well made film by the great director Kathryn Bigelow. It shows the story behind the take down of Osama Bin Laden. They start from the terrorist attacks on September 11th 2001 and then follow the story of the girl (Maya) who is hired by the CIA to hunt the man behind the attacks. The movie pans through a decade long hunt to find him, at the same time there are attacks being made in various places. It was pretty interesting to see how it all happened, I'd be curious to know how much was changed in the film from what actually did go down. Although it was a pretty good film I don't believe it lives up to the standards of 'The Hurt Locker'. It was a very long movie (2 hrs. 37 min. I believe) and I thought there could have been a bit cut out without hurting the story. I'd probably need to see it again to give it a better judgement since I was so tired last night. I do have to say the ending scene when they finally kill Osama is pretty amazing.

I really enjoyed the hurt locker. I wasn't very excited for Zero Dark Thirty, but this review changed my mind.
